LTheme block themes are made to be installed on websites that already have content. Your pages, posts, media and users stay exactly as they are.
Before you switch
- Make a backup of files and database (most hosts do it in one click).
- Preview first: in Appearance → Themes, hover the new theme and click Live Preview. You can look around before activating.
Your homepage
If Settings → Reading uses a static page, the theme shows that page in the new design. If it shows your latest posts, you get the blog layout (Free) or the ready-made homepage (Pro).
Menus
Block themes use the Navigation block instead of the classic Menus screen. Open Appearance → Editor → Navigation: you can import an existing classic menu from the Navigation block’s menu options, or build a new one.
Widgets and sidebars
Block themes do not use widget areas. Content that lived in sidebar widgets (text, contact details, opening hours) can be rebuilt with blocks in the footer or in a page, using Appearance → Editor → Patterns → Template parts.
Plugins
Forms, booking, SEO and shop plugins keep working. Add their blocks to your pages as usual.
