Afternoon tea
Three tiers, one long afternoon
Served on a three-tier stand with your choice of tea, refilled as often as you like. Eat from the bottom up, take your time, and ask for a box for anything you cannot finish.
Top tier: little cakes
Three small cakes and pastries that change with the seasons.
Middle tier: warm scones
Plain and fruit scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam.
Bottom tier: finger sandwiches
Cucumber, egg and cress, smoked salmon and a seasonal fourth.

We are a small, independent tea room and tea shop. We taste every tea before it goes on the menu, bake in our own kitchen, and are always happy to talk you through the list.

Good to know before you visit

Do I need to reserve?
For a pot of tea and cake, just drop in. Afternoon tea is made to order, so please reserve a sitting at least 24 hours ahead.
Can you cater for allergies and special diets?
We offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free afternoon tea when you tell us at booking. Our kitchen uses nuts, gluten, milk, eggs and sesame, so we cannot promise any item is free from traces. Please tell us about any allergy before you order.
Can you seat a group?
Groups of up to 6 can reserve online. For 7 or more, or to reserve the whole room for a party or shower, call or email us.
Can I buy a gift card?
Yes. Gift cards are available for any amount, for afternoon tea for two or for a tasting, in the tea room or by phone.
Are children welcome?
Of course. There is a little ones’ afternoon tea for under-10s, and high chairs are available.
What if my plans change?
Please give us 24 hours’ notice so we can offer your table to someone else.
