Calm care

Gentle handling for anxious pets

Go at their pace

Nervous pets get a quiet slot, extra breaks and time to sniff the tools before we start.

Short first visits

For anxious or older pets we can split a groom into two shorter visits instead of one long one.

Low-noise drying

Quiet dryers and towel drying for pets who dislike noise. Nobody is left alone in a drying cage.

We stop if it is too much

If your pet is very stressed, we pause and call you. Their wellbeing comes before a finished haircut.

FAQ

Questions pet owners ask us

Something else on your mind? Call or message us, we are happy to help.

Does my pet need to be vaccinated?

Yes. We ask for up-to-date core vaccinations (and kennel cough for dogs) for every pet. Bring the record or a photo of it to the first visit. Puppies can come for an intro once their first course of vaccinations is complete; ask your vet when that is.

My dog is anxious. Can you still groom him?

Usually, yes. Tell us when you book and we will give you a quiet slot, go slowly, take breaks and, if needed, split the groom into two short visits. If your pet is very stressed we stop and call you.

How long does a groom take?

A nail trim takes about 15 minutes, a bath & tidy 1 to 2 hours and a full groom 2 to 3 hours, depending on size and coat. We text you when your pet is ready to collect.

How often should my dog be groomed?

Most long or curly coats look best with a full groom every 4 to 8 weeks, and short coats with a bath and nail trim every 8 to 12 weeks. We will suggest a routine for your dog.

What if my pet’s coat is matted?

We gently work out small knots. Heavy matting can be painful to brush out, so we may recommend a short clip instead and let the coat grow back. We always talk to you first.

First visit? Bring your pet’s vaccination record and allow ten minutes for a quick chat.

Ready for a fresh, fluffy pet?

Pick a drop-off time online, or call us and we will find a slot that suits you and your pet.
