The Grand Hall

About the venue
An old estate with room to celebrate
We are an independent, family-run venue on the edge of town. We host a small number of events each week, so every couple, team and host gets our full attention, and the day runs the way you planned it.

From first enquiry to the big day

Check your date
Send us your date, guest numbers and type of event. We reply with availability and a price guide.

Come for a viewing
Walk through every space with a coordinator, ask your questions and picture the day.

Secure the date
Sign the hire agreement and pay the deposit. The date is then yours and nobody else can book it.

Plan it together
Choose caterers, layouts and timings with us, then a final run-through a few weeks before.

Good to know before you book

How many guests can the venue hold?
The Grand Hall seats up to 180 for dinner and 250 for a standing party, the Courtyard 80, and the Loft 40 in theatre style. These are sample numbers: the real limit depends on your layout, and we confirm it at your viewing.
Can we have the whole venue to ourselves?
Yes. Exclusive use is available from Friday to Sunday, so no other event shares the grounds. On weekdays we may host a small meeting in the Loft, well away from your guests.
Can we bring our own caterer and suppliers?
You are welcome to choose your own photographer, florist, band and decorations. For food and drink, pick one of our catering partners, or ask us about approving your own caterer; they will need insurance and a food hygiene certificate.
How do we hold a date?
Check your date with us, come for a viewing, then sign the hire agreement and pay a 25% deposit. Until then, dates are booked in the order deposits arrive.
What time does the evening finish?
Music finishes at 11:30 pm and guests leave by midnight, so our neighbours can sleep. Set-up can start from 9:00 am on the day.
Is there parking and step-free access?
There is free parking for around 60 cars on site, and the hall, the terrace and the restrooms are step-free. Tell us about any access needs and we will plan around them.
