FAQ

Questions parents ask us

Cannot find your answer? Call us or ask during your visit, we are happy to help.

What are your staff-to-child ratios?

We always meet the ratios set by our licence and often have an extra adult in each room. As a guide: 1 adult to 3 babies, 1 to 4 toddlers and 1 to 8 preschoolers (sample).

How does settling in work?

Before your child starts, we plan a few short visits together. You stay for the first one, then leave for a little longer each time. Your key person learns your child’s routine, comforters and favourite songs.

What happens if my child is unwell?

Please keep your child at home if they have a fever, or for 48 hours after sickness or diarrhoea. If they become unwell at nursery, we call you to collect them. Our full sickness policy is available on request.

What should we bring each day?

A bag with spare clothes, a sun hat or warm hat, and a comforter if your child has one. Meals, snacks, nappies and wipes are provided.

Can I get help with the fees?

Some families can get funded hours or a childcare subsidy. Ask us what applies to you and we will explain how to claim it.

How do I keep in touch during the day?

You get a short daily update about meals, naps and play, and you can call the nursery at any time. Your key person is happy to chat at drop-off and pick-up.

Keeping children safe. Our safeguarding lead is Grace Bennett (sample). Read our policy or ask us anything.
