FAQ
Questions homeowners ask us
Still not sure? Call us or ask on the free home visit.
What do I need to do before you arrive?
Clear small items, ornaments and pictures if you can. We move and cover the larger furniture, protect the floors and take care of all the surface preparation.
How much preparation is included?
Filling cracks and holes, sanding, cleaning, sealing stains and priming bare or patched areas. Anything extra, such as large plaster repairs, is listed separately in the quote.
How long does paint take to dry?
Most water-based wall paints are touch-dry in one to two hours and ready for a second coat in about four. Oil-based gloss takes longer. Paint keeps hardening for a couple of weeks, so wipe gently at first. Times depend on the product, temperature and humidity.
Which paint brands do you use?
We use trade-quality paints from well-known brands and are happy to use the brand and colour you have already chosen. Tell us the colour name or code and we will match it.
Can we stay at home while you paint?
Yes. Most people do. We work room by room, keep walkways clear and ventilate as we go, and we can use low-odour paints on request.
How long will the job take?
An average room takes one to two days, a whole house interior about a week. Your quote gives the start date and how many days we expect to need.
