Your eye test
How an eye test works
A typical visit takes about 30 minutes. Your optometrist tells you what happens at each step, and you can ask questions at any time.
1
A quick chat
We ask about your eyes, your general health, your work and screen time, and any changes you have noticed.
2
Vision check
You read letters on a chart and compare lenses, so your optometrist can measure your prescription.
3
Eye health check
We look at the front and the back of your eyes with a bright light and, when needed, other simple tests.
4
Results & advice
We explain what we found in plain words and, if you need them, help you choose glasses or contact lenses.
