Getting ready for your session
A little planning makes for relaxed, natural photos. Here is what we share with every client.
What to wear
Soft, coordinating colours and simple textures. Avoid big logos and very bright neon.
Choosing a place
Somewhere that feels like you: a favourite park, your home or the studio.
Timing the light
Outdoors, the hour before sunset gives warm, gentle light. We plan the start time together.
Little ones
Bring snacks and a favourite toy, and plan around naps. Breaks are always fine.

How soon will I get my photos?
You receive a few sneak peeks within a week. The full gallery is usually ready in about 3 weeks for portrait and family sessions and 6 to 8 weeks for weddings (example timings).
Can I order prints and albums?
Yes. Order prints straight from your online gallery, or ask us to design a lay-flat album or framed prints with you..
Do you travel?
Happily. Travel within 30 miles of Springfield is included; further away we add travel costs, quoted before you book.
How far ahead should we book?
For weddings, many couples enquire 9 to 18 months ahead. Portrait and family sessions can often be booked a few weeks before.
What should we wear?
Comfortable clothes in soft, coordinating colours work best. Before your session we send a short guide with ideas for outfits and locations.
What happens if it rains?
For outdoor sessions we watch the forecast together and move to another day or into the studio. Weddings go ahead in any weather, and rain can make beautiful pictures.
Prints, albums and gift vouchers. Give a family session, or turn your gallery into something to hold.
