FAQ
Questions clients ask us
Cannot find your answer? Call us. Please note that this website gives general information only and does not provide legal advice.
Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. The first 20-minute call or meeting is free and there is no obligation. We listen, tell you whether we can help and explain what the next steps and fees would be.
How much will my matter cost?
Many matters, such as wills and home purchases, have a fixed fee. Others are charged by the hour. Either way, you receive a written estimate and fee agreement before any work begins.
Is what I tell you confidential?
Yes. We treat everything you tell us as confidential, including at the first consultation and whether or not you go on to instruct us.
What should I bring to the first meeting?
Photo ID, any letters, contracts or court papers about your matter, a short timeline of what happened and a list of your questions. If you are not sure, bring it.
Does contacting you make you my lawyer?
No. We act for you once we have checked for conflicts of interest and you have signed an engagement letter. Until then, please send us only the details we need to check for conflicts.
