Walking into your first group class can feel like a big step. The good news: everyone in the room was new once, and coaches expect beginners in every session.
Before the class
- Book your spot, as many classes have limited places.
- Arrive about 10 minutes early so the coach can show you around.
- Tell the coach about any injuries or health conditions.
What to bring
- Comfortable clothes you can move in
- Clean indoor shoes
- A water bottle and a small towel
During the class
Most classes start with a warm-up, then a main block of exercises, then a cool-down and stretch. The coach shows each move and usually gives an easier and a harder option. Choose the one that lets you move well, rest when you need to, and do not worry about keeping up with anyone else.
Afterwards, ask the coach which classes suit you next. Small, regular steps are the easiest way to build a habit you enjoy.
