You do not need to be good at maths or riddles to enjoy an escape room. Most puzzles are about noticing things and sharing them. These habits help a first-time group.
- Arrive a little early: the briefing explains the rules and how to ask for a hint, and the clock starts on time.
- Say what you find: call out numbers, symbols and colours, even if they look unimportant. Someone else may have the matching lock.
- Keep used items together: put solved clues and opened locks in one corner so nobody solves them twice.
- Split up, then regroup: search different corners, then meet in the middle every few minutes.
- Ask for hints early: a hint after five stuck minutes keeps the game fun; it is not cheating.
Wear comfortable clothes, leave bags in the locker if there is one, and let the game master know about anything that might make the room hard for someone in your group.
