Beginner lessons
Never driven before? We start on quiet roads and build up controls, junctions and roundabouts at your own pace.
Manual lessons
Learn clutch control, smooth gear changes and hill starts in a dual-control manual car.
Automatic lessons
No clutch and no gears to think about, so you can focus on the road, traffic and planning ahead.
Intensive courses
Several lessons a week over one to four weeks, planned around a test date or a deadline you already have.
Test preparation
Mock tests on local routes, the vehicle safety questions, and the use of a familiar car on test day.

Manual or automatic
Choose the car you want to learn in
Both are taught in dual-control cars. Not sure which suits you? Book one lesson in each and decide afterwards.
Manual lessons
You learn to use the clutch and change gear yourself. It takes a little longer to master, and you can drive both manual and automatic cars afterwards.

The car changes gear for you, so there are fewer controls to think about and more attention left for the road around you.

In some countries, passing your test in an automatic car means your licence covers automatic cars only. Check the rules where you live before you choose.
Intensive courses
Short on time? Learn with an intensive course
Several lessons a week, with breaks planned in so you never feel overloaded. We start with an assessment drive, then plan the hours around your diary and any test date you already have.

Lesson packages
Simple prices, agreed before you start
Pay per lesson or save with a package. The same prices apply to manual and automatic lessons.
Single lesson

Pay as you go. Book one or two hours at a time, manual or automatic.

Do I need a licence or permit before my first lesson?
Yes. You need a valid learner’s permit or provisional licence for your area before you drive on public roads. Bring it to your first lesson, and ask us if you are not sure what you need.
How many lessons will I need?
It depends on your experience, how often you drive and how quickly you feel confident. After your first lesson your instructor gives you an honest estimate and updates it as you progress.
Who books the driving test?
You book the test with your licensing authority, and we help you choose a date. We suggest booking once your instructor agrees you are close to test standard.
Where do you pick me up?
From home, school, college or work anywhere in the area we cover. We can also drop you somewhere else at the end of the lesson.
Can I use your car for the test?
Yes, with the test-day package: a warm-up lesson before the test and the use of the dual-control car you learned in.
What if I need to cancel a lesson?
Tell us at least 48 hours before and we will move your lesson free of charge (example policy).
Test preparation
Feel ready, calm and prepared on test day
In the weeks before your test we practise the manoeuvres, roads and situations that local tests often include, so very little feels new on the day.
