Someone has died at home. What do I do first?<\/summary>\n

If the death was expected, call the family doctor or hospice nurse so the death can be confirmed. If it was sudden or unexpected, call 911. Then call us when you are ready. There is no need to rush.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n

Do we have to decide everything on the first call?<\/summary>\n

No. On the first call we only need to know where your person is and how to reach you. Everything else can wait until you meet us.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n

Can we see our person before the funeral?<\/summary>\n

Yes, if you wish. We arrange a private time in our family room, on your own or with family and friends.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n

Is embalming needed?<\/summary>\n

For many choices it is not. We tell you if something you choose, such as a public viewing several days later, would need it, and you decide.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n

Do you arrange services for every faith, or none?<\/summary>\n

Yes. Your own minister or faith leader can lead the service, or a celebrant, or the family. We follow your customs and your wishes.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n

Can I have your price list before I decide?<\/summary>\n

Yes. Ask by phone, by email or in person and we will give you our full itemised price list, with no obligation.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n

How and when do we pay?<\/summary>\n

We ask for a deposit when you arrange the funeral and the rest within 30 days (example terms). Ask us about paying in parts.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n\n
