Start about eight weeks before moving day and work through this list a little at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8 weeks to go<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Get two or three written quotes from movers, and ask for a survey in person or by video.<\/li>\n\n<li>Book your moving date. The end and start of the month are the busiest, so book early if you need those days.<\/li>\n\n<li>Start a moving folder for quotes, contracts and receipts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6 weeks to go<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sort room by room: keep, sell, donate or recycle.
