FAQ
Moving questions, answered
Still not sure? Call us and ask for your move coordinator.
How far ahead should I book?
For a local move, two to four weeks is usually enough. For long-distance moves and the end or start of the month, book six to eight weeks ahead. Short notice? Call us and we will check the calendar.
Are my belongings insured during the move?
Every move includes basic cover for goods in transit (sample terms). Ask us about extra cover for valuable items before moving day, and keep jewellery and documents with you.
What will you not move?
We cannot take hazardous items such as gas bottles, fuel, paint, chemicals, fireworks or ammunition, or perishable food, plants on long trips, and pets. Please move cash, keys, medicines and important papers yourself.
How is the price worked out?
Local moves are usually charged by the hour for the crew and truck; long-distance moves get a written estimate. After a free survey you receive a written quote that lists everything included.
Do I have to pack everything myself?
No. Pack yourself with our boxes, let us pack only the fragile things, or book our full packing and unpacking service.
Can you store my things between homes?
Yes. We can collect your things, keep them in storage for a few days or a few months, and deliver them when your new home is ready.
