Venues handle hints in different ways, so ask during the briefing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>How you ask:<\/strong> often by saying it out loud, pressing a button or using a screen or walkie-talkie in the room.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>What you get:<\/strong> usually a nudge towards the next step rather than the answer.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Whether hints cost anything:<\/strong> some venues offer unlimited free hints, others add time to your score. Your game master will tell you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A good rule: if the whole group has been stuck on the same lock for five minutes, ask.
