It does not need drawings or technical words. A page of notes is enough to make the first consultation much more useful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>How you live now:<\/strong> who lives in the house, what works and what does not.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>What you want to change:<\/strong> more space, more light, a new kitchen, a room to work from home.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Your budget:<\/strong> a range for the whole project, including fees and a reserve for surprises.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Timing:<\/strong> when you would like the work to start and any dates that matter to you.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Pictures:<\/strong> photos of homes, rooms or materials you like, and some you do not.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>What you already have:<\/strong> old drawings, a survey or the deeds plan of the property.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Be honest about the budget. It is the single most useful number for your architect, because it decides what is realistic.
